INFORMATIONS IN ENGLISH

Guy Barrey (I.e.p.p., D.e.s. in law) and Pierre Deporte (H.e.c.), French writers, have been conducting researches for several years on energy theories in oriental and occidental traditions. In particular, they have been examining ways to adapt these theories to the humanities and so­cial sciences, such as psychology, history and economics.

An earlier version of the following article was published in July 1989 in a review circulated internally within the French Finance Minis­try. The article is a digest of a forthcoming book, a study of the Five Movements of Chinese Tradi­tion as expressed in French history from the Renaissance to the pre­sent.
